On April 12–13, Belgrade hosted the SWISH TALENT COMBINE — a two-day basketball event that brought together nearly 40 promising young players, dedicated coaches, and passionate supporters of the game.
Held at the SC “Milan Gurović” the event was designed to test, teach, and showcase basketball talent born in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Saturday was dedicated to assessing the physical and technical abilities of the participants.
These tests were conducted by the SWISH organizing team in cooperation with coach Dragan Vaščanin — a 2007 European Champion with Serbia’s U16 national team and long- time coach at the Teo4 basketball camp.
Sunday shifted the focus to team play and live competition. The day featured a four-team round-robin tournament where every team faced each other, offering players an opportunity to apply what they had learned and to be seen in real-time action.
This was followed by a fast-paced Three-Point Shootout, won by Filip Vučković from Kraljevo, showcasing sharp shooting under pressure.
The highlight of the day was the ALL STAR GAME, featuring the top 20 players selected based on their overall performance. Two elite squads were formed and coached by respected Serbian basketball figures:
Former Serbian national team point guard and current OKK Beograd coach
Former Crvena Zvezda center and ABA League champion with Hemofarm
The Combine also served as a gathering point for the regional basketball community — with appearances by basketball legends Milan Gurović and Milutin Aleksić, player agents, academy owners, coaches, and enthusiasts who added value and visibility to the event.
One of the participants, Marko Gašić from KK Napredak Kruševac, shared his impressions of the Combine:
“I had a great time at the Combine. The testing was challenging but rewarding, and the games were intense. I learned a lot from the coaches and made new friends. This experience has motivated me to work even harder.”
The SWISH team extends sincere thanks to all players, coaches, families, and supporters who helped bring this event to life.
Special gratitude goes to our sponsors and partners (Knjaz Miloš, Rhei Life, Jaomile Podcast, Kimbo coffee, Princess, and Nacor Consulting Group) for their trust and support in making the Swish Talent Combine a success — ensuring that young basketball talents left with new skills, valuable experiences, and friendships that go beyond the court.
This is just the beginning. The plan is to continue organizing SWISH Talent Combines across the Globe.
